How about my flights’ tickets! Shall I cancel?
I’m a travel blogger and working on a travel project will it get affected?
Shall I think twice now to visit Leh Ladakh in the august end?
Well, many apprehensions and questions that are hovering your mind regarding the Leh Ladakh post Article 370 Defunct and it’s tourism and maybe your visit to this beautiful destination. It is viable as well, and this is because of the current situation of Leh Ladakh due to article 370 defunct.
Let me take you to the blog – Leh Ladakh’s post Article 370 Defunct, where you will find it completely safe to travel to this gorgeous destination which is now a UT – Union Territory.
Article 370 has been thinned, Jammu & Kashmir has been departed from Ladakh–and the two sections have become separate Union Territories. Expecting trouble, the government of India have asked tourists and pilgrims to move out, and have deployed a huge amount of soldiers and troops into the state. The situation is unpredictable – yes, it is true, as of now and no one knows how things will gonna be in coming days. The only affected highway currently is – Srinagar-Leh highway – Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and other parts of Kashmir Valley are on a tension zone. But when we talk about Leh & Ladakh? No, is the answer (According to CNT‘s report Angrub Dorje, who runs Discover Ladakh has stated, “Both Leh and Ladakh are completely safe.)
The business is usual here in Leh Ladakh, as the local transport has not been affected here. As of now, no restrictions have been implemented on transport, in fact, it is safe and we have tourists here who are enjoying their holidays. (it is when the CNT team spoke to locals and 3-4 tour operators).
Even though the circumstances in the paradise of India – Jammu & Kashmir is unpredictable and scary, the region of Ladakh is truly safe, with no indications of tightness and fury. So, plan without thinking twice.
As mentioned by – Tsering Angmo, Assistant Director of Tourism, is asking people not to worry. “Everything is normal in Leh. The airports are completely accessible. I would recommend anyone who is visiting to not worry at all.” (CNT report). There has being a bit of tension on Srinagar border as vehicles are being stopped but that’s all is a precautionary measure for Kashmiris and tourists out there. As the bill is also passed in Rajya Sabha by 2/3 majority.
If you are travelling by flights –
If flying to Leh – flights on Vistara, IndiGo, GoAir and Air India are on time as of now.
If you’re flying to Jammu and Srinagar, IndiGo has waived the fare on all cancellations and rescheduling of tickets (charges on fare difference will be applicable if any) to Jammu till 9 August.
If you’re flying to Srinagar: After announcing a cap on fares at Rs9,500, Air India has further lessened its ticket prices to Rs6,715 from Srinagar to Delhi and at Rs6,899 from Srinagar to Delhi till 15 August.

Bharat box office collection Day 3: This Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has earned Rs 95.50 crore in three days. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial earned Rs 22.20 crore on Friday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the film’s figures on his Twitter handle. He tweeted, “#Bharat maintains a grip on Day 3 [Fri]… Mass circuits remain strong, while some circuits faced normal decline after #Eid festivities… Should witness an upturn on Day 4 [Sat] and 5 [Sun]… Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr, Fri 22.20 cr. Total: ₹ 95.50 cr. India biz.”
Now all these are just figures and these figures say it all. It is a family entertainer, yet another Salman Khan movie which has grabbed all the attention for all the reasons. This Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is well written and has a stronghold on the story. Well initiated story but missed on many sections to hold attention but doesn’t capitulate to the trappings of commercial potboilers. Basically, the issue with the screenplay and direction was the story’s strong connection with Bharat’s dream and his India’s affection.
Story: Now when you have too many aspects to show there is always a miss. The fact is that it reis too hard to grab the audience’s attention but didn’t proved to be a massive hit. It was overall an entertaining movie for the family to watch – a typical Salman Khan movie but has a draining odyssey. The movie was though being an adaptation of South Korean drama Ode to my Father (2014). It emphases on the personal and professional choices of its virtuous hero, and in Bollywood, it was set against the social backdrop of its time and the times which India as a country has seen since independence.
There were too many things happening at one time which made it across a loop of characters and scenes. While he accomplishes to keep you hooked notwithstanding his complex source material and misplaced songs makes it a complex movie. Eventually, this makes the movie an arduous, dispersed watch it despite the entertainment, humour and nobility it proliferates.
The cast: Salman Khanthe hero itself has a mark for his audience as always. We all know that even if the movie does did not have much of the smash hit content – it gives a box office hit because of the stardom and love Salman Khan gets. And there is nothing wrong in it as he is fantabulous. Interestingly Salman’s love for his family and the sober family person in real life is somehow being always showcased at the epitome in his lives. Which in this movie too has come out interestingly well?
Katrina Kaif: she is stunning and gorgeous. And the character of feisty kumud who is valiant and authentic enough to make the first move on him. “I love you. Shaadi ki umra ho gayi hai meri. Tumse shaadi karna chahti hoon,” she says without winking an eye. She proposes marriage without fearing rejection. “I do and say what I think is right,” she adds and doesn’t mind teasing Salman, “Tum thodey self-obsessed Nahi ho?” Bharat is Katrina’s best-acting part to date. Her harmony with Salman feels accepted and she does a good job at depicting a woman who is self-assured without being swaggering. Her hair is a different story though with the grey streaks are erratic as her character ages and the boisterous curls feel pointless.
Sunil Grover:He actually is the best fit in Ali’s writing is how he places Sunil Grover’s character as Vilayati is commendable and a sigh to see him performing as Bharat’s best friend and amigo. The best friends are the soulmates connections is quite evident in the movie and reflects beautifully. Grover does contend justice to his well-written role and justifies more such noteworthy parts. Sonali Kulkarni and Jackie Shroff are terrific as always, including the other cast – Tabu and the kids of course.
Bharat movie cast: Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Disha Patani, Satish Kaushik
We all must have been in a relationship whether long or short. But each one of us cannot deny that we have never been in a relationship. Apparently, we kept on thinking that how we all shall be happy in a relationship. We at times tend to be in our dreams or filmy Duniya – as we call it and try to match those love elements in real life. But there is a factor which you guys might miss on – is the essence of relationships and we ponder on why my relationship with my partner is not smooth or not moving in the right direction.
I am going to share some important tips and tricks for a happy relationship. You can call them life hacks as well and if you follow them, as per my belief, I can vouch that you end up being a happy couple. Let’s get to this blog:
Trust your partner
We should always trust our partners. I have seen a lot of men and women who keep a check on their respective partner’s mobiles or emails or etc. why guys?? If you trust them, what is the reason to do that? Trust me, if they want to hide something they will anyways do that. Most importantly having faith in each other is the recipe of a true relationship.
Keep your egos aside
– Assume that there is a situation of hot discussion between you and your partner, what will you do? many times it ends up in cats and dogs fight – you know why because we clash our ego and cannot make it clam while it is needed the most. Will you try to make it up, you may find the answer is NO or sarcastic. The thought process is, if it’s not my mistake why should I say sorry, this is what we hear from a lot of couples.
Guys when one person is angry other have to be calm, this is the mantra of a happy and successful relationship. Trust me you won’t be small if you somehow calm your partner. In the long run, you and your partner will come closer to each other. This is being tried by a lot of people and the results are astonishing.
we tend to think that how can sex help in having a good and happy relationship. Ohh, then, guys you are mistaken. A lot of tests and research is done and its proven scientifically that if a couple has sex 2-3 times in a week they are happier, mentally, socially and physically. This is one of the crucial parts of a joyful relationship. Good sex not only releases stress but also bring us close to each other emotionally.
Spend quality time
– With this fast moving life, we forget the importance of being with each other in both good and bad times. More we spend time with our partner better our relationship will be. Go for a walk with him/her may be for 15-20 min but that time shall be totally yours. Or go on a dinner date with each other keeping your mobile phones aside. try to fetch out your time – talking about all things which both of you like. These things look kiddish but when you do it, you start feeling close to your partner. More you do it, closer you are.
Give Importance to each other’s work– This is another common problem that we see among couples. Especially, in the Indian context where men don’t give priority to his better half’s work or maybe females at the workplace. Giving equal importance to each other’s work will bring harmony and consent in a relationship. No Work is big or small and everyone’s work is important. If we understand this, the chances of having quarrel and fights will be minimal
Share home chores – Helping is caring – when we can teach our kids this, why can’t we do the same. Always help your partner in whatever he or she is doing. Be there in the home chores equally with them. The idea is to be with him or her. be there with her in the kitchen, assist her in kitchen stuff. it is not necessary that you should know about cooking. If he is washing his car she can help in that. These small things bring you closer. Similarly, she can be a help to him in his house stuff.
Give Space– Always give some space to the person whom you are associated with. People say why you need privacy. I say that everyone needs it to be men or women. Giving privacy is not that they are cheating on you. There are times where they want to be with themselves without worrying about other things. it is like rejuvenating oneself. They may be alone or with their friends or somewhere else where they may be just on their own. Trust me this is one of the important things which we tend to forget.
These are some of the hacks that if you follow, it will not only increase the trust and love in your relationship but you will start enjoying each other’s company more, making your relationship to sustain for a long time.
Holi is an ancient and prevalent Hindu religious festival distinguished throughout India. It is a spring festival, also known as the festival of colours. The colourful festival of Holi is celebrated on Phalgun Purnima which befalls around the month of March. It is the second most extensively celebrated festival of India after Diwali.
This festival is celebrated as the victory of good over bad also. There are numerous mythological stories behind the origin of the festival. But, one which is in Indian traditions is about killing Holika, the sister of Hrinyakashyap. – Owing to that it is celebrated. Holi festival is also broadly related with the immortal love of Krishna and Radha. The festival also holds implication with reverence to end of winter season and the onset of the summer season. So, there are many on the charts as Indian religion is vast.
With a long weekend coming up this Holi, it is the time to put on your travelling shoes and travel to some of the below-mentioned destinations in India for some crazy Holi celebrations. Get beaten with sticks, or enjoy a concert or join the locals in the streets as they shower gulal and water to each other or get drenched with vibrantly coloured powders and water or watch the ‘Holika Dahan’ or just calmly soak in the bewildering experience of perceiving the band of itinerant spiritualist minstrels of Bengal. Witness all this on Holi 2019 in a different than the usual way, as India is Incredible.
Just pick up any destination from the below and play your famous Holi festival in India Go Travel!
Barsana, Uttar Pradesh: Holi with Sticks
Indian men don’t always rule the nestle! The women of Barsana and Nandgaon villages near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh hit men with sticks – no wonder it is the tradition in town which is known as Lathmar Holi celebrations. Unfortunately, I being a solo traveller would not recommend the other solo travellers to come here alone due to the repulsive behaviour of men, who continue to go around assaulting women. However, you can visit it with your friends or group to experience the sight to catch the giggling women taking absolute pleasure in putting the sticks to use. The Barsana Holi is definitely the most famous places to celebrate Holi in India and will give you all the ambiences of Mathura Holi for sure!
It is one of the most additional Holi celebrated in India. Here the Holi celebrations get underway on Vasant Panchami which is the end of winter – 40 days before the main Holi-day. It is in the town of Mathura and Vrindavan – an easy four-hour drive from Delhi. Mathura is also well known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, while Vrindavan is the place where he spent his childhood. Also to notice is that on Ekadashi before Holi, the city celebrates Phoolon wali Holi where flowers are thrown at the devotees by the temple priests. Vrindavan is also known for a unique celebration of Holi where Widow’s Holi began a few years back to break the resolution that prevented widows from playing with colours or wearing coloured clothes.
Shantiniketan is a timeworn and leading university in West Bengal, where the great Nobel laureate and poet, Rabindranath Tagore introduced the Basant Utsav to re-experience the ancient tradition. Till today the ritual is followed and celebrated in matchless enthusiasm and vigour. Inspired by Holi and springtime the students dress up in a colourful outfit and put on a huge ethnic extravaganza for the visitors. All this contentment, colours, and joy of Shantiniketan make it the best Holi celebration in India. Students wear up in spring colours and put on a huge traditional program for visitors, including dances to Tagore’s songs. This is followed by the typical throwing of colours. Basanta Utsav has become a valued part of Bengali history and culture, and it fascinates abundant foreign tourists.
This is one its kind in India and is celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. It is an elephant festival which kicks off Holi celebrations in Jaipur every year on Holi eve. Elephant parades, elephant beauty contests, traditional dances, and the tug-of-war between elephants, locals and foreigners are some of the events on this day. This destination can be covered by solo travellers as well. All this makes Holi extra fun! Please see: That this event hasn’t been held since 2012 due to pressure from animal rights groups. So, if you do not get this you can try Holi of Pushkar and Udaipur it has its own unique charm and playful atmosphere with loads of sweets to relish.
Punjab in India is a traditional and rich state with a variant of festivals and customs. One such is Holi too! The celebrations of Holi in Punjab are by the Sikhs which differ from the entire country in many ways. The locals shout-out their hearts following their tradition. Besides, they display their martial arts on this day and have fun with colours in the evening. Delicious halwa, puris, gujias, and malpuas are eaten and served to others.
It is sporadic to find celebrations of Holi in South India. But, it is true Hampi is one of the known destinations for Holi, people from all over the world come here to celebrate Holi. And this is because of the presence of a large number of western tourists in Hampi and this is because it is a world heritage site and quite popular among foreigners. In addition to the use of coloured powder & liquid colours, the celebrations of Holi in Hampi also include a loud riot of music and dance.
Be Happy 🙂 #keeptravelling #share #like #comment #happyholi
Son Chiraiya is a story that tells us about of Chambal Ghati – India which widely known for a pack of rebels and is marked for dacoits as well. Since ages, we all have been hearing and reading a lot of tales about Chambal Ghati. The dacoits have their own set of rules on which they live on and adhere to them quite strictly. Additionally, they have a regime that they will not harm females and children. The story is set on of the gang from Chambal – The Beehad gang, which is being cursed by some circumstances when they were robbing a house. The group then pursues to rob a wedding, however, later the conditions make changeovers and they get their backs against the wall. Later in the movie, you will see a large size of dacoits was killed however, a minority of dacoits including Lakhan (Sushant Singh) succeeded to escape. After that, Lakhan had a new objective as during the escape he meets Indumati (Pednekar) with a little girl named Son Chiraiya who was a rape victim and needed help to survive and need to be taken to the hospital within 48 hours, else she will die.
The story moves ahead with this same notion and Lakhan (Sushant Singh)stayed on his promise to make the gang free from the curse that everybody has been suffering from. For me, it actually catered to the niche audience and the actors including the supporting staff made it happen to their best. Sushant Singh Rajput played the penetrating character of Lakhan and it is well-thought-out one of the best performance by him. Ashutosh Rana and Manoj Bajpayeeare dexterous as ever. Apart from that Bhumi Pednekar fits flawlessly in the role of Indumati Tomar. The film is crammed with action and while you watch it you feel like a trip to the small yet muddled villages of Chambal. Apart from that, the film also delivers some loud messages and issues that are still seen in modern India. It depicts some of the biggest issues like misogyny and the patriarchal society, which is dreadful to watch but reality.
The quoted review: Rating: 3½
Very well-made film that caters to a niche audience. You need to have a strong stomach to absorb #SonChiriya. Violent, disturbing, shocking, with a horrifying twist. Fantastic performances by all. #SonChiriyaReviewpic.twitter.com/umlq3pG1LI
Spiti Valley – the moment this name comes, a lot of people get amazed and ask ohh, is this in India and if yes where? This is a hidden isolated world in Himachal Pradesh which is a wonder in itself. This blog is close to my heart and you will get to read more such on Spiti valley as this place is a treasure chest for me and I’m sure many traveller enthusiasts would agree with me.
Treasure chest – just two words to say about a world that was forbidden to visitors for about 30 years. Travelling to Spiti Valley is like Time Travel, you tend to get a feeling of getting in a time machine and travel to a world and time unknown. Wow! Goosebumps.
This blog is based on my recent 10-day bike travel to Spiti valley with a rider me being a pillion on Royal Enfield 500 cc. In particular, this blog is about 6 reasons to visit Spiti Valley – the hidden treasure of Himachal Pradesh. So let’s start by knowing the place a bit.
“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wildness is a necessity.” – John Muir
This all belongs to Spiti that lies across the main range of Himalayas, called the Trans-Himalaya. But hey, wait, what are those things that come to your mind when we think about Himalaya. Spiti is 13,800 square kilometres of untamed land. Lush green meadows, misty mountains with dense pine forests, snowing ranges, and soaring high snow peaks. On the contrary, if I say you won’t get to see much of these in Spiti valleys then? What I wanted to say is – Spiti is the complete divergence of all that, but just as beautiful as the other side of Himalayas.
Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley that is situated in the Himalayas – the north-eastern part of Himachal Pradesh. It is the land of barren hills, gorgeous lakes, grey scree slopes, rubble rocks, muddy terrains, and some of the world’s highest inhabited villages that are secluded with the least of 30 humans, and as their population and not more than 100 people in one village at the max. it is a land of beautiful monasteries hovering histrionically over its landscape. The touch of desolateness and a sense of ancient civilisation are some add-ons. The name “Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, i.e. the land between Tibet and India. Let’s find out reasons to visit this unadulterated and hidden treasure that has gradually getting transformed into an exotic tourist destination. Let’s see…
Spiti valley is also home to the highest motorable village in Asia – Komic it is a beautiful scenic village where the temperature dips to -30 degrees Celsius in winters. The landscapes are amazing that will leave you awe-struck.
This village has a population of around 50 to 60 people. The houses here, separated by swish lawns and green threads of the loom with wooden windows and doors, very Indo-Tibetan feel. This set up gives everyone enough room to bask in the winter sun. These houses are a welcome change from our congested city houses.
Spiti is the secluded terrain for many visitors yet there is a reason to visit because of plenty of homestays in this scarcely inhabited Spiti. My favourite is Solo Yolo – Kaza and for more on homestays in Spiti read next blog
This gives you a wonderful opportunity to the visitors to learn about their culture and stays with locals. Most of these homestays are in the middle of the villages and at a very high altitude giving you the perfect view of the entire valley.
It has a beautiful monastery amidst the mountains that dates back to 996 AD. Key Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 metres (13,668 ft) above sea level, close to the Spiti River. It is the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training centre for Lamas. It reportedly had 100 monks in 1855. You can stay in the monastery and pray in the praying room.
The monasteries are one such reason for not to miss visiting Spiti. There are many monasteries in Spiti that are considered to be the centre of Buddhism; you will get to unwind your soul in this perfect place. Come to stay in monasteries and have some soul-searching.
The glorious and stunning view of the Milky Way at Pin Valley, you get to have them at Tabo and Kaza as well. In fact, Chandra Tal shall not be missed for star gazing and this amazing view to fall in love.
Now that’s a sight we simply don’t get at too many places.
There are dozens of lakes in Spiti that are neatly tucked away in the valley for you to discover. One such major tourist destination known for some of the toughest and exciting motorable roads in India is a stop at Chandra Tal lake – the lake of the moon. It is on the Samudra Tapu plateau overlooking the Chandra River. It is at the altitude of 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in the Himalayas. Camping by this lake under the starry skies is exactly the kind of life-changing experience you are looking for.
These are some of the reasons to visit Spiti – an offbeat travel destination in India. Here are many more offbeat destinations in India which you can choose for your next travel.

Mumbai is one of the most loved and extensively featured cosmopolitan cities in the world. From Bombay to Mumbai a lot of things have changed in this city, but what this short blog will talk about the Gothic architecture and the heritage sites that lies just in the heart of South Bombay and leave a mark to every Mumbaikar and traveller coming to this city.
Mumbai has a quite mixed and complexly layered history that dates back to the East India Company’s era. This unique history was our whole idea to explore behind having this one-day event called as – street walk photography – Mumbai walk. This event was organised by a group Backpacking Budget Travelling in India.
Where we explored many old architectural buildings on south Bombay that best reflects its diverse architectural buildings and combination of many worlds and eras. One can see High Victorian to the Indo-Islamic tinge of the era in the design and architecture of these buildings.
We all started from one meeting place from south Bombay near CSTM railway station, waited for the gang to gather and then the heritage walk began. We roam the streets and explored many iconic buildings, that has aesthetic appeal and best represents the unique offerings of Mumbai. The art deco and modern buildings give the city its cool and fresh look. , but it’s the diverse Victorian-era structures – the neo-Gothic, Indo-Saracenic and Venetian Gothic medley – that have come to describe Mumbai and make her the showy beauty that she is. All the shapes and the designs, the spires, the tombs, the gables and the arches – everything makes for a pleasant walk through the city’s past. Let’s talk about what all we explored – though there were many but have a look at the major ones. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Victoria Terminus), Taj Mahal Palace hotel, the Gateway of India – these live up to their reputation, and the great joys are the church, Kayani’s, Bademiya, Jimmy’s etc. etc.
It is the Mumbai’s most iconic landmark, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, still functional and central to life in the city today. It is almost 130 years old building and is not just the most famous railway station in India, but also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This huge structure is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival and Indian architectural styles. While an architectural prodigy to gaze in esteem for the tourists, this glorious building is just part of the daily commute for thousands of busy Mumbaikars.
The High Court of Mumbai building was built in the 1870s in early English-Gothic style. It was designed by Colonel J.A. Fuller, R.E. where blue-basalt was used as facing over the walls that were made of rubble and chunam. This colonial British-style marvel features many architectural details that amaze visitors.
No wonder it is one of the famous and the first clear marker of the Bombay harbour until the Gateway of India was later built next to it around 20 years later. This quintessential Arabian Sea-facing hotel was built in 1903 under Jamsetji Tata and designed by architect Sitaram Khanderao Vaidya. It takes stimulus from around the world, displaying the most remarkable Victorian Gothic, Romanesque and Edwardian elements. A century later, the deluxe and archaeologically significant hotel remains unmatched among others in India.
Gateway Of India
The Gateway Of India – Mumbai’s most significant monument was built to venerate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to the city. Representing its association with the British Raj era in Mumbai, it is also the predicament from where the last of British troops deceased the country after its independence. This Indo-Saracenic architectural display was designed by Scottish architect George Wittet, taking from Indo-Islamic, Indian and Roman inspirations. Built from yellow basalt and armour-plated concrete, the building was completed only in 1924 while its foundation stone was laid in 1911.
It is rightly called as Dalia Lama’s abode – McLeod Ganj and when I gave a thought to travel solo to this wonderful place I never realised that by the end of my travel journey I will be in love with this place evermore.
When travellers talk of heading up to Dharamsala, what they really think to visit or experience – to see the Dalai Lama, to visit the best treks with valleys, to trip high on the hippie hills – reason can be many for different kind of travellers, so as mine as a solo traveller.
Here’s why and how I loved McLeod Ganj why I love to travel solo to this place.
Starting with the residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, which is 3 kilometres north of Dharamsala town (or 10km via the looping bus route. This small place is the home to a huge Tibetan population, that includes the monks and the nuns and other locals.
So, the Tibetan government-in-exile is based out here just at the downhill of Gangchen Kyishong. When I visited McLeod I was amazed to witness this huge part of Tibetan population that is peacefully yet unofficially residing here. This is one of the main reason why this destination attracts thousands of international visitors each year to volunteer this Tibetan community. One thing which holds my attention is the courses which you can take on Buddhism, meditation or yoga, and then of course trek in the Dhauladhar mountains, Parvati Valley and many other players lying deep on the foothills of Dharamkot and McLeod. You can shop at the Tibetan crafts, or just hang out with the firangis all around who come here and stay for long to witness this remarkable blend of culture and heritage of North India.
Travelling solo makes you close to your soul, and helps to challenge yourself in any situation. One cool thing that I learned on my visit to Mcleod Ganj is that it is the suburb of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, which is popularly known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” as it has a huge population of Tibetans. Moreover, the Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.
You get good homestays to stay that is cheap and comfortable all through your journey. Being a solo traveller or a “woman solo traveller” (yeah, had to quote it this way as it is India and there are some parts of India that are not easy for woman solo travellers) I was a bit sceptical on how and where to stay. But McLeod Ganj offered me the best and the safest stay during my entire vacation. The streets are colorful and perky filled with local cafe’s and shops that offer local jewellery Apart from other stuff one thing which caught my attention is a handful of shops that offer musical instruments.
There are some of the unbeaten places to visit in McLeod that will leave you speechless with its natural surroundings and snow-cladded mountains. Hike to the mighty Triund Trek, it is 9 km away from Mcleod Ganj, beautiful peak and an ideal place for a solo traveller to relax and rejuvenate amidst the mesmerising meadows.
Bhagsu Falls and Bhagsunath temple lies 3 km from the McLeod city. A beautiful walk, great surroundings, stunning pools and lush green vicinity makes it a perfect place to visit. This place has its own historical importance that dates back to Lord Shiva, Nag Devta and the King Bhagsu. Due to this reason, this place is worshipped by both Hindus and the Gorkha community.
Other than this, I took a road to explore Namgyal Monastery, took a trail till Naddi, Tsuglagkhang (Dalai Lama’s residence), a non-gothic architecture – the church of Saint Johns in the wilderness and the list can be countless. McLeodganj has everything to offer to a tourist. For me, it is like a second home, where every time I go, I feel new and explore new things.
Best Time to Visit – September to June
How to Reach – Passengers buses are available till Mcleodganj bus stand. Then hire a taxi to reach further in the town. One can also walk the lanes. Pathankot is the nearest Railway Station.
As soon as we all reach the end of the year and go towards a new beginning – we all have some or the other to start with and believe me the planning is absolutely meticulous and freaky at times. Well, about the resolutions for the new year there are many, as I was saying these resolutions can be damn freaky too and for few, it is all just the same.
Still, we as humans do not fall short to dream and aspire to our new beginnings. And this is not the first time we are doing this planning, every year we do the same. Many of us must be following new resolutions for every coming year, and the others must be ditching it beautifully.
Anyway, 2018 has arrived, and to start the year with a positive note I would like to quote something from one of my most favourite author and philosopher – Oscar Wilde ” The past is of no importance. The present is of no importance. It is with the future that we have to deal. For the past is what man should not have been. The present is what man ought not to be. The future is what artists are.”
Well, with this note, this blog will just focus on few basic things which are imperative and essential for mankind. The era we are living in is full of love, passion, sex, envy, money, power, reign, work, children, politics, relationships etc. etc. etc. But what made me write is something irrational to all the above yet connected to the core.
Forgiveness and Humanity
You must be wondering how insane this woman can be to ponder emphasis on such debatable and ambiguous issues. However, these are the foundation of your life.
We always wanted to create something or the other by our means. We want to conquer the world with what we want to do. It is true and achievable, but you need to create forgiveness in order to reach the destination. For me, the most difficult job is to create anything out of this universal force. But in the longer run, it can be beaten only by love and forgiveness.
It is exactly like beating the sharpness of a sword by the spirit.” In the saying of “Napoleon who touched upon the importance of forgiveness and its principle. That forgiveness is very creative and it certainly springs from love and passion. This is better explained like – it is the ability to admire someone’s agony and hatred to oneself while extending love and forgiveness.
I know it is terrible and the toughest thing in the world to forgive someone who has thrashed you by all possible means. it hurts and often haunts us till our past dies or we die. It also bullies our future and ruins our love life. Unfortunately, we tend to relive forgiveness and keep on forgetting that forgiving someone will certainly help your heart to be healthy. But by learning to live in the present, embrace us with the pain of the nuisances and then it can heal your wounds as well your loved ones who are also affected by it.
Forgiveness is to accept what has happened in the past and forget or ignore rest all. If we can practice forgiveness and avoid putting the final word to others and oneself then we can make a huge difference in our lives. That makes it a creative and a happy approach. Let’s gear up for humanity this year
Let’s get together for a handful of humanity and restore it in our hearts and lock it forever. Many of you’ll be thinking practical and will not agree with humanity doesn’t pay you and make you rich in today’s world. This world for them needs money more rather than loving someone selflessly. Agree! we all need money to survive, but at what cost, we never think about it. It is a mad rush and race towards nowhere. Apparently, forgiveness and humanity lead you to your own Karma and a path to a peaceful life, as we all have to die one day.
This world can be full of so many dark things and that’s why it’s easy to lose sight of how good humans are, naturally. With so many terrible stories in the news lately, but there’s always a hope to bring smiles on the faces of people.
Well, nothing much too write and to give “Gyan” as many people think of it quite often. Let’s be together this year and try to inculcate love and humanity in our lives this year and contribute to mankind for the world to be a better place. Take a pause and just think about it once, where are you heading this New Year. With all your New year resolutions and dreams, please take out some time to forgive all in the past and move ahead with loads of love and humanity.
Trust me this world needs love, smiles, humanity, and passion. We all need love not hatred. Why not spread smiles and share some love now!! Be Selfless! Be True!
It’s not just a day, but it’s a lifelong festival and celebration. Mother’s Day
The concept of celebrating Mothers Day on the second Sunday of May is very new in India and it can be said that in a time span of less than a decade, Mothers Day has been a great celebration.
My question is why only one day. Motherhood is forever.
Mothers give up a lot for their jobs: their waistlines, sleep, the backseat of their cars, years of peace and quiet. They’d even give their lives. When they see their kids rolling toward financial trouble, Mothers often become the human “speed bumps” in such cases, putting their own finances on stake.
The joy of celebrating mothers love is intriguing:) just for you mom and saluting all the mothers around the world. Here’s a short poem…….
I love when, you bring me close,
I love when you comfort me through my hushed and perfunctory voice,
I love when you fiddle with my hair,
The way you feed me,
The way you read me, Even with the Sun blazing in the sky,
Your shades of love are always with me
Your incredible power and courage gives me strength to move on
Your faith in me kicks up with the fire
I can’t imagine my life without you
Love you Ma!
Thanks for being there and loving unconditionally!
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. Because it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” ―Maya Angelou
These lines give me ample reasons to personify my life into a terrain of love and pain. When I see people getting resilient and grit about something, I feel Ohh, My! Is life legitimate to just one soul on this earth?
But the question is how one can be more pliant? Leaving our “so called” egos in a bin! How can we wave-off the challenges that life throws at us in-and-out, and we come out as a successor?
I tried to peep into my hard times in life, which is still not ending and finding no hope to end as well. But I looked up to the difficult situations and went to the insight of knowing how I can be resilient!
Managing emotions sounds stupid and insane. But if you know the art you are through to the life’s jungle. Thus, don’t rush, as rash decisions rarely result in positive outcomes. Resilient people remain calm and gradually act by analyzing the situation.
You know, the secret of resilience, is to be a quitter! So now you must be thinking I’m mad,
Keep yourself busy, busy and just busy….. Ohh Yes it works! No scope for shit in life. Often people face quells of emotions and get scared, but the resilient person knows how to stay happy and busy.
Make your pain a game. Make your boring things fun and stay happy! Be resilient!
To be resilient and sticky in life, difficulties are important!
Every year, Mother’s Day come and I feel let me wish all the mothers around me or Let me give all my love to my Mum….
I struggle then and think how shall I move ahead to convey my love and affection in a perfect way to my mum. My coming few lines are tender, funny, mournful— to actually explore what is the meaning of mom and how it feels to be a mom.
Whether pampering, loving or coddling, mums tend to occupy a whimsical space in our lives – children may often see them as creators, like-Gods, who inrush and mend over the time and teach us how to see things in a feasible manner. Several writers since ages have expressed their relationships with their mums, sometimes with words, sometimes with pictures, often with ecstatic love and also with devotion.
My words are yet another – “words” penned down. Love you MOM
The angels, murmuring to one another – Can find, love among their burning terms of affection – But no one so devotional as that of a “Mother”
Love set you going like a fat gold watch.
The midwife slapped your footsoles, and your bald cry
Took its place among the elements of life … (this is what mother is)
Despite making her feel special for a day make her feel special everyday, guess that’s all what a mom needs. Take her to a memory lane where she recalls the nine months, the cuddle, overnight sleeplessness, crankiness and of course that one smile for which she lives today. Let her loose the grief of life with your big hug, and a promise to be with her forever.
Moms never change, their love remains forever, their heart melts with your every wound or a scratch maybe. Guys respect her to the core, not just to show the world or to write it down or to give someone a speech, but yes from deep of your heart follow her values and live her in you!
There is a piece in me that like to tenderly imagine my maverick and seditious soul. But, precisely, I love to have a picky and cosy relationship with my soul that can rub up against a little bit, putting me alive.
