Global Recycling Day – Did you Know about it? We are Dying!
Today the world is moving towards a sustainable future. Business tycoons, big conglomerates, huge industries, start-ups, small and medium scale business are understanding the need to work on reducing waste and working on sustainable grounds for the impact of the global waste management crisis.
In 2018 it called for a dire need to commemorate Global Recycling day. The last decade has been the hottest on record, and we are now facing a climate emergency of unparalleled proportions. If we don’t make significant and rapid changes, we will see continued rising global temperatures, the melting of icecaps, continents on fire and rapid deforestation. (www.globalrecyclingday.com).
This directly affects humanity with increased poverty, immigration from displaced communities, job losses, waste mountains and natural habitats disappearing. We have the power to make lasting changes to combat this, and with recycling being recognized in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030, we are already seeing many individuals, governments and organisations taking direct action to support the global green agenda.
Recycling is a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect our natural resources. Each year the ‘Seventh Resource’ (recyclables) saves over 700 million tonnes in CO2 emissions and this is projected to increase to 1 billion tons by 2030. There is no doubt recycling is on the front line in the war to save the future of our planet and humanity.
The Global Recycling Foundation is pleased to announce the theme of Global Recycling Day 2021 as #RecyclingHeroes. This will recognise the people, places and activities that showcase what an important role recycling plays in contributing to an environmentally stable planet and a greener future that will benefit all.
Below are 10 ways to recycle, some of which also help with reducing and reusing.
Use reusable bags instead of plastic
Using plastic bags are banned in some parts of the world. Still, there are places where they are used, sadly it is not beneficial for the environment and health too. What you can do is, instead is to use cotton or cloth bags. Reuses them, wash, dry, use and reuses – with the same process.
Reuse scrap paper for crafts
This is something I would like to point out as reusing the scarp papers at the office and in the house of elsewhere is a wonderful technique to reduce waste. Wasting paper is wasting trees. We can reuse these scrap papers for mailing craft, strips tapes, colorful and decorative paper strips for other crafts decoration etc.
Use cloth napkins and towels Using cloth napkins and towels in the kitchen and bathrooms will help to reduce paper consumption and give you a reusable product, possibly saving you a couple of hundred dollars a year.
Repurpose glass jars and containers
Why pay extra for these food-filled glass containers, why not reuse them for other household items that need a new container? You can look up many DIYs and green décor ides on Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram. They show how to reuse and recycle plain glass jars into pretty home-products, ranging from food containers to decorative light-hangers.
Even if you’ve tried everything you can to revive your electronic device, laptop or computer, don’t just dump it in the garbage. You can donate it to charities that can fix it up or send it back to the manufacturer that will end up recycling the body and parts for other products. Some ink cartridge manufacturers will give you a prepaid label to mail back used-cartridges to recycle. Look into the manufacturers of your devices and find out about their recycling programs.
Some are extreme ways to recycle
The above are the basic that you can do every time daily. Now 5 extreme ways to recycle, and if you are super serious about green living then you can continue using these tricks for recycling.
Recycle water – This one is a big investment, as you’d have to reconfigure your water pipes so that bathwater and sink water can be used for either flushing the toilet or for watering your yards. You’ll be recycling the water to serve more than just a single purpose and as a result, also saving more on your water bills.
Make your compost – How much do you consciously and unconsciously leaving behind the waste have you ever realised. What you need to do is leave your organic waste in a compost bin to decompose so that you can recycle the compost for plants. Be sure that you have the right container and put only decomposable items in.
Switch to using cloth diapers – Using cloth diapers for your child may seem outdated, but women used them for ages. Today what we have – Disposable diapers aren’t usually put into recycling categories, so you can choose to use cloth diapers if you truly want to go green. Search on google you may find many companies and start-ups that are providing these.
Collect rainwater to use for watering plants – if you are not living in a state like California or an Indian state like Chennai – which is almost a draught then you can perfectly harvest and conserve rainwater. You must take advantage of the rainy season and recycling the rainwater. Save more money on your water bill by using natural water for watering your indoor or outdoor plants.
Buy secondhand furniture on Craigslist or eBay – Check out secondhand furniture found on Craigslist or eBay. It’s one of the greatest ways to recycle furniture that is still usable and also reduces trash in the landfill.
True green living requires a lifestyle change, but there are little things you can do that will help our landfills from becoming unusable. Just follow these ways to recycle, and you’ll be on your way to having less garbage and wasted resources.
India is known to generate over 65 million tonnes of waste every year. Not to your surprise it is one of the highest in the world.
India ranks third in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. All thanks to poor waste management.
By 2050, if the world survives India will be staggering to 88 square km of land for waste disposal through landfilling.
As per the recent report by a private research frim India is 77% of waste is disposed in open dumbs, whereas 18% is composted, and only 5% is recycled.
Not to shock you – India is also the third-largest in the world for producing electronic waste after China and the USA.
Globally 23% of disposable water bottles are recycled each year
Glass is 100 % recycled and can be recycled endlessly without any loss in quality and purity. However if unrecycled it could take 4000 years or more for it to recycle or decompose naturally.
70% of total waste in Indian offices is of paper.
The whole idea is that today we have a couple of sustainable options for living wherein we can use them and we have a means for producing them too. The only thing lacking is we do not do it on our own. We preach and only preach. I have started my bit in my way for plastic, reuse glass bottles, cloth bags, planting trees, kitchen garden, sustainable tourism, handmade paper use, reuse of paper etc. if I initiate this from my home, my kid is watching and doing the same.
Please start today! Do your bit, if you want the planet to be as beautiful and gorgeous as it is.

World Book Day | Encourage to Share a Story | Bookshelf
This year the theme for World book day is – share a story. It is apt, as all of us have ample stories and experiences to share. This is the 24th year that the event has been held. It comes around on the first Thursday of March every year, in the UK. This day is also acknowledged globally in over 100 countries across the world. Other countries celebrate World Book Day on William Shakespeare‘s birthday – April, 23.
What’s happening this year?
Due to Corona Virus Pandemic things are quite silent this year. Everything is virtual and webinars are held online. There is hardly anything happening offline. Books are offered for just £1 – through book tokens, and they can be used to buy one of the exclusive books on offer through the scheme or used to buy a full-price book or audiobook that costs £2.99 or more. Kids are also being encouraged to share their stories with one another and prizes are on offer for the best. A selection of free audiobooks are also on offer, which launched on February 18. A Book Club is also being launched in March 2021.
On this note a quick tips for kids on how you inculcate them to read more and share more. Let them share their stories and encourage them to become who they want to:
Bheemkund – Mysterious water pool in India #incredibleindia
It is a magical water pool. Natural in nature, with clear blue waters. Also known as Neelkund. There is an uncovered story about this place, which keeps you intrigued. It is situated near Bajna village in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh. It is 77 km away from Chhatarpur by road in the Bundelkhand region. Bheemkund is astonishingly a natural water reservoir and a holy place that purportedly dates from the era of the Mahabharata. The water of the Kund (tank) is so clean and transparent that one can see fish swimming in the water.
The pool lies in a cave, about 3 metres from the mouth. To the left of the passage is a small Shivalinga. The pool is a deep indigo blue which distinguishes with the red stone walls. Folklore attached to this place dates back in the times of Mahabharata, linking Bhimkund with the Pandavas. Exhausted under the sweltering sun, Draupadi fainted of thirst. Bhim, the strongest of the five brothers, hit the ground with his Gada, water swelled out and the pool came into being.
The roof of the cave has a small opening just above the kund; this is the place Bheem is said to have hit with his Gada. Closely monitoring, it does look like the head of a Gada. It is 20 meters in width. During the Tsunami in India, there were 30ft high jump in water levels. 10 ft high tides arose from the deep waters. The locals have observed it.
The water is blue, deep blue naturally. It keeps on shifting its colours as well. No one till date could examine the depth of – the real depth of this bheemkund. 200 ft deep down the pool if you go you experience water cyclone. Whenever there is a natural calamity there is an effect of it seen in this pool.
Even the earthquake of Nepal had an impact of it here. The pandits and locals have witnessed 7 ft high tides of water. Same was with the earthquake in Japan. It is being said that this place always indicates about the natural calamities to take place. It is a mystery that how this place indicates the natural calamities before it even occurs. And after a few hours, we see some of the other natural mishap happening.
The water is holy and can be kept for years as it is. No algae, no bacteria, and no dilution occur in the water. It is like Ganga and other holy water we keep with us. If this has a connection with oceans or a way to the ocean, then why this pool does not have saltwater. There are theories based on them but no one can prove it. Chattarpur has no connections with the ocean for 1000s km.
Pujari Ramesh Prasad Pandey Ji – serving there for four generations of his. To know the real depth of this pool huge pumps and pipes have been places and people have returned from 80mtr saying that we can’t go deep than this. The administration had tried to pump out the water for 24 hours everything outside was blocked but the water was not dipping an inch also. They were amazed.
International sky drivers and researchers came to know the mystery they put the camera down and took pictures of somewhere around 200ft down and still did not got the ground layer. Another mystery is that if someone gets drowned in the water and dies – the body is undiscoverable. One cannot find the body of the person, usually, the body of the person floats on the water once dead, but here it vanished.
The archaeologists and the excavators have used their best methods to measure the depth of this Kund but none have succeeded so far. A few years ago a team from “Discovery channel” visited BheemKund and tried to calculate the depth of Kund but unable to do so.
Usually, when a man dies underwater, his body floats above the surface after his death. Whereas, the body once drowned in Bheemkund, never floats up and shockingly the body goes missing and can never be found back.
What you have to say about this mysterious place in #india Tell me in the comments below.
State: Madhya Pradesh
Reach by road from Chattarpur District

A rare sky show, Jupiter and Saturn will be as close as pinkie finger on 21st December
Team NASA has a surprise for you all. You all are excited for this Christmas, though it will not be the same for many due to Corona Pandemic. But the lore of the celebration will be cherished round the world. So what exactly is happening on the 21st of December 2020.
Alright, the guesses aren’t working and you must be thinking that Christmas is on 25th. Yeah, this year we would get a chance to enjoy a Christmas kiss under the moonlit on the 21st December – which is also named as “The Great Conjunction”.
So what will happen on this day?
As the NASA Saturn and Jupiter will be the closet. last they were seen after sunset from Shenandoah National Park, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, in Luray, Virginia. And now they both are heading towards the great conjunction The two planets are drawing closer to each other in the sky as they head towards a “great conjunction” on December 21, where the two giant planets will appear a tenth of a degree apart.
In rare sky show, Jupiter and Saturn will nearly ‘touch’ on the winter solstice. On the night of December 21, stargazers will be in for a holiday treat as the two bright planets appear closer together than at any time in the past 400 years.
Where did it come from?
In 1610, Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei pointed his telescope to the night sky, discovering the four moons of Jupiter – Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. In that same year, Galileo also discovered a strange oval surrounding Saturn, which later observations determined to be its rings. These discoveries changed how people understood the far reaches of our solar system.
Thirteen years later, in 1623, the solar system’s two giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn, travelled together across the sky. Jupiter caught up to and passed Saturn, in an astronomical event known as a “Great Conjunction.” (Taken from Nasa.gov).
Every 20 years these two planets appear to pass each other in the solar system. But with this position, aligned in the sky comes about once in 20 years. What makes this year’s spectacle so rare, then? It’s been nearly 400 years since the planets passed this close to each other in the sky, and nearly 800 years since the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter occurred at night, as it will for 2020, allowing nearly everyone around the world to witness this “great conjunction.”
On the 21st, they will appear so close that a pinkie finger at arm’s length will easily cover both planets in the sky. The planets will be easy to see with the unaided eye by looking toward the southwest just after sunset. How?
Find a spot with an unobstructed view of the sky, such as a field or park. Jupiter and Saturn are bright, so they can be seen even from most cities.
An hour after sunset, look to the southwestern sky. Jupiter will look like a bright star and be easily visible. Saturn will be slightly fainter and will appear slightly above and to the left of Jupiter until December 21, when Jupiter will overtake it and they will reverse positions in the sky.
The planets can be seen with the unaided eye, but if you have binoculars or a small telescope, you may be able to see Jupiter’s four large moons orbiting the giant planet.
Merry Christmas to all lovelies!
Keep Smiling! Be a responsible traveller!

Around 1 in 5 of the world’s children and adolescents have a mental disorder. – WHO

3. Almost 800 000 people die by suicide every year; 1 person dies from suicide every 40 seconds. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in individuals aged 15-29 years. -WHO
4. Around 1 in 9 people in settings affected by conflict have a moderate or severe mental disorder. – WHO
5. Less than half of the 139 countries that have mental health policies and plans report having these aligned with human rights conventions. -WHO
5 signs of mental illness
Long-lasting sadness or irritability.
Extremely high and low moods.
Excessive fear, worry, or anxiety.
Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits.
While a “traditional” mental health day generally includes taking a day off from work, it’s not necessary to call in sick to take a day to focus on stress relief. Everyone has to deal with varying levels of stress. This can be particularly difficult to manage if you also have symptoms of depression or anxiety. When you feel like your stress levels have reached their peak, it might be time to take a quick break to reset.
Knowing what you can expect to get out of a mental health day is important. It’s important to remember that it isn’t a day to hide from your problems.
An effective mental health day can help you:
Get a handle on your emotions
Reset your perspective
Take a step back to evaluate
Things NOT to Do
Avoid friends and family
Smoke, drink, or use other substances
Overeat unhealthy foods
Ruminate or wallow in negative emotions
Spend all day reading posts on social media
While one day off may not by itself cure burnout, a mental health day can definitely provide you with a much-needed (and well-deserved) break. A mental health day can be useful on occasion, but you should also strive to make your mental health a priority every day.
The film is about three women spies, they call them Angels who are appointed by private security and investigative agency, named as Townsend Agency. This Agency is owned by an unidentified millionaire called Charlie who runs his missions through Bosley, his agent or proxy in command. This movie review of Charlie’s Angels will give take you through the Charlie’s Angels of ’70s TV Series. The other two movies that clashed same week did well too. We see Ford V Ferrari ruled the charts with outstanding numbers, read the review here. Audiences have a lot of fun elements and action in the theaters for the Thanksgiving week around the corner.
Director Elizabeth Banks takes the rudder as the next generation of daring Charlie’s Angels take their flight in the theatre near you. In Banks’ strong vision, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska are serving for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security and the investigative agency has extended internationally. With the world’s briskest, most splendid, and most highly trained women all over the world, there are now the teams of Angels, who are further trained and guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the tedious jobs everywhere. The screenplay is by Elizabeth Banks from a story by Evan Spiliotopoulos and David Auburn.
Movie Review Charlie’s Angels – The story
The film kicks off in Rio de Janeiro, with Sabina Wilson (Kristen Stewart) in a blonde wig teasingly seducing Jonny Smith (Chris Pang), a wrongful figure, and all that is a part of sting operation held by their agency. Later when she was cornered, former MI-6 agent Jane Kano (Ella Balinska) came to rescue. Together, they put their lives on the line to win.
A year later we see these two are united again in Paris, to rescue Elena Houghlin (Naomi Scott). She is a young systems engineer who is a key rack in a company that created Calisto. This is a new device of a sustainable alternative energy source that has an unfavourable side effect: It could kill people, which Elena knew. So doesn’t want it to go in the wrong hands. She assumed that Calisto could be weaponised as an instrument of mass killings, hence the production shall be stopped. With the Angels, Sabina and Jane together with Rebecca (Elizabeth Banks) as their Bosley on the case, uncover the said clandestine plot.
What we shall know about Charlie’s Angels
It is a reboot of Charlie’s Angels of the ’70s TV series which was about a trio of female secret agents (Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska, and Naomi Scott). Elizabeth Banks directs the movie and is acting as well. The movie switches the franchise’s focus to female empowerment, with themes of marvel, strength, and partnership. There’s also more violence as many could expect, whilst some are pretty intense: The Angels fight the battle with villains in scenes that are full of hard-hitting fights and assault weapons. They take some knocks in the process, and they also kill some of the villains (impalement is especially gnarly). As in the original show, the Angels are robust, tough, intelligent, and savvy; they also swing a killer wardrobe.
In other words, they’re aspirational, not the sex objects. And these Angels are purely refreshingly distinct. The opening scene creates to pay reverence to the original’s playbook, with Stewart’s character using her sex charm to trap a villain – but it’s revealed that the Angels win because society doesn’t require attractive women to be ingenious or competent. Cursing is rare but present (“d–k,” “s–t,” etc.).
War has features and traits of a few resembling music numbers and movies, which Bollywood has been doing it for years. Where we could see “Top Gun”-levels of homoeroticism, designed or otherwise; way too much who-is-the-mole scheme; a needless romantic sub-plot that drove tales around glittery and random Christmas scenes. This involves heroine, a cute widdle kid and glamour round the corner. What all we see in this war movie review, that, it the entertainment of the two Greek gods of Bollywood industry. You can be happy witnessing a long and rushing bike rides between the two. The computer graphics, body double and the chase of these two duelling stars are like a spin around the plot. Of course, it is Aditya Chopra, (Adi I’m not criticising you, but it is truly like Dhoom 4 or an Abbas Mustan film). To the plot, you will see a thundering show of one of the world’s best sports cars racing and twirling all over the snow of Artic.
To your surprise, it is a frozen river by the way. The twists and turns test your patience but lack in the storyline. Overall, just a stardom movie to watch, for the love Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan. Certainly not a 3 star for me – the war movie review rating will be 2.5.
On the contrary, the music of Vishal Dadlani is killing in the two musical numbers, which are also dancing numbers. The songs will be ruling the charts in the coming months as well. Ghungroo stands out in contrast to Jai Jai Shiv Shankar. That’s just about 50 per cent for Vishal Dadlani. Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan make the excellent pair and audience are liking their chemistry. To my knowledge audience were wishing to see both of them paired since long. Their paring is almost like Batman and Robin, like, where Shroff’s diligence and respect is a good foil to Roshan’s more perceptive ways.
Certainly a crowd puller, but not a box office hit for Aditya Chopra. War, got released on October 2nd, with all the reviews and critics it started-off fantastic on the box office and has gathered massive collection on Day 1.
Every emotion has a purpose in our lives, so as love is entitled to several kinds of emotions. Life is not always about happy relationships neither it is about sad relationships. It is what we experience in our day to day lives is what makes our actions and reactions determined towards particular persons. Do we really understand all the shades of love in our lives? When we say we are in love, do we mean it or it is just an emotion?
Love is not an emotion
A lot of people still does not understand the real meaning of love. Love is not about possessiveness or putting your loved ones close to you always. People look to love as a property that has to be received and preserved. To assume that others are ought to provide it to us so that our life is loaded with love is the biggest misconception, which is the foundation of our sadness. It is not like any other object or a thing to be acquired. At times, even if some other person offers an abundance of love, we may not be able to take it or feel it the way it is being given.
Later, it becomes normal to blame others for not being with us or loving us. We do not give our mind some rest or pause to think about what can be right or wrong and we get swayed into emotions of disappointment. What I wanted to convey in this blog is shades of love in our lives but it is not an emotion. Why I feel it because I believe in the power of good emotions and positivity. Now when we get attracted to someone is not love it is an emotion which generates from our well-being (clubbed with heart and mind).
Just express your kind of love
What I wanted to talk about is self-love, let us all inculcate the feeling of self-love as one of the shades of love in our lives. Let us interlock and generate a feeling of love by making self-competent through relevant changes in our dealings with others. There is no other way to love and be loved in the world. The dynamic intimacy that lacks sweet feelings is not loved but lust. People often neglect to consider love as divine in its true essence. While dealing with others as well, let us ensure that our direct communications make them cheerful. You can help them by talking and assisting them to come out of their issues.
Yes, it is possible and not a problem anymore, it is just we have to realise and make it in action. Try to, appreciate their successes and be nice for the help granted from them. All these activities are just to express your kind of love.
The perk of proffering love to others is that it advances to our heart and makes us associated with others. It also offers confidence and security, eliminates fear and gives a feeling of being generous towards other people. One can get to know love by first forming before-mentioned feelings of being good to others. You only tell me, how can a person feel the love from counterparts if he /she is filled with ego, selfish tendencies and anger? These negative emotions are the devils and they crush the inner urge to love others.
Before you begin I would like to quote, that Love is immortal and there is something very special about love and relationships. This blog is not about any specific love or relationships tips and tricks but it will certainly give an insight into the eternal feeling of love and its essence. Keep reading Is love like weed or vice-versa…
As the title suggests is Love like weed or is Weed Like Love or Vice-versa. I would like to mention few points wherein we can relate our love feelings with weed (PS: this does not impose anyone to consume weed or any other kind of a drug, this is just a writer’s poetic compilation)
– Love is deep and connects every emotion of our lives. If I try to connect with weed here, many of us would agree that love has its forms of weed. What weed does is what love is. The approach is to understand that humans who consider love to equal to weed are not ruled always. Delving into literal terms will not make any sense here. The secret lies in acknowledging and holistically expressing love.
– with every stash of weed or a joint, we tend to get stoned into some other world only. Why this happens, it is because of the essence of the substance which makes you feel this way. Now, when we say love is immortal we consider this notion to be out of the world. When someone is in love the feeling is strong and overwhelming. We, tend to forget that it will not last forever and may end someday like a joint’s smoke. Considering this phenomenon acknowledging love for one-self gets lost and we tend to drag our lives into vain and no-where. Instead, try being you, and real, get in love with yourself so that eventually you get the path of immortal love.
The comparison and verdict of is love like weed
The idea of depicting just the two above is not the end of the explanation. Rather, numerous people take the wrong path in the name of weed, calling it love. The message what I wanted to portray is, not to consume weed, rather just be mindful of your relationships. Pay some respect to the person you love, be faithful to you first, then you can be loyal to others. Weed may get you to the wrong path, let love not do this to you. Be compassionate and kind. In my opinion, love can’t be like weed always as the strong point of weed are directly proportional to the bad points of love.
There is a piece in me that like to tenderly imagine my maverick and seditious soul. But, precisely, I love to have a picky and cosy relationship with my soul that can rub up against a little bit, putting me alive.
