This year world tourism day is celebrated with the theme of sustainable tourism worldwide. With the recent speech of Greta Thunberg at U.N. – it is quite visible that we all need to stop hoping and praying. It is time to act and make it happen. If we keep on hoping and praying for climate change, our nations, our environment, our tourism industry will extinct. The agencies and countries’ tourism boards with the involvement of government are focusing on sustainable tourism as a tool for development. Tourism For a Cause

I’m a traveller and have been to numerous destinations. I have started travelling 8 years back, initially, it was my passion and nomad heart that led me to new cultures, people, and diverse landscapes. Gradually with the years passing by when I saw nature’s aggressive moves in the forms of floods, witnessed snow avalanches, landslides etc. I used to wonder why nature is not happy and showing us it’s wrath. I used to think about the reasons for all incidences occurring. This gave a hunch to inculcate the awareness of climate change and cleanliness to the people who would I meet while travelling. Furthermore, would like to mention that I do not work for an NGO, neither an organization, I’m just a traveller and a writer. But I make sure I do my bit when I travel and keep my surroundings clean and organic. Will not stretch it much, but significantly wanting to emphasis on biodiversity, cultural changes, sustainable tourism to all the travellers out there.

The European Council on Tourism and Trade President Dr Anton Caragea says “Tourism is the best teacher on the planet.”

To end I leave you all with a quote:

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.
